Welcome to the Choir Page!

We will be trying to utilize this new resource to communicate concert information, date changes (if needed?!), fundraising and field trip plans.  Check back  - I'll be trying to remember to keep this updated, but it's a "new trick" and you know how that goes with an "old dog"! :)

 

We are currently working on ordering and  purchasing t-shirts  for every choir student this year.  We plan to wear them to "advertise" our choirs and concerts - so make sure your child is wearing their's on Concert Day!  Fund raisers have been and will be offered in order for students to purchase these and to pay for show tickets or other extra expenses.  Whenever possible, we work hard to keep costs to a minimum and never want money to be an issue for anyone.  If you or someone you know might be inclined to donate (any amount) towards student expenses, please let me know.  In addition to the choir kids having these cool t-shirts, we're offering them to parents, siblings, alumni and friends.  We will be taking orders after our concert on Monday, October 27th.  A limited supply will be available for purchase that night, but we will place an order (on Weds., October 29th)  for those who sign up at the concert .  Show your Lancer Pride and pick up a shirt or 2 - makes a great gift!!

 

More exciting news:  We are planning to purchase new choir robes this year!  The current robes are over 30 years(!) old.  While they still look good from a distance - up close they're not so pretty!  No anticipated date yet, we're still in the bidding process.  We'll keep you posted.

*La Crosse Center Holiday Craft Fair Caroling - Saturday, November 22 - time: TBA

*Rotary Lights Caroling - if there is enough interest, we may make an appearance!

*WXOW Holiday Concert at Viterbo - Monday, December 8, time: TBA; Public Welcome

*Winter Concert - Monday, December 15 Call time: 6:40 p.m., performance start: 7:30 p.m.

The Choral Department truly appreciates the support and encouragement from the parents of the wonderfully talented students as well as the communities of Hokah, La Crescent and surrounding areas. Many volunteer opportunities exist. Several of them are limited or one time commitments. Show your support, volunteer today! For more details contact Heidi Swerman.
